Water, Water Everywhere and Other Random News

Water
Well, it happened again. Lauren and David's house flooded. Yep, again. It flooded last year before Carsyn was born. A hose in the utility room popped off and caused some damage to the floors, some sheetrock, and some paint. Bless their hearts, they only thought it was hard then.

Imagine now with a nine-month-old baby to take care of--the house taken over by heaters/dehumidifiers--the kitchen, living room, and dining room having stood under water for hours...yep, it's bad.

But it could be worse, and they have found so many things to be thankful for. We have enjoyed their being around our house more, and the house is fixable. Pray for a quick recovery of their living space; all families need their own.

Gymnastics
We traveled to Huntsville the last weekend of Spring Break for Ashley's state meet in Prep Op 6 Gold. she did great, and we are looking forward to regionals  in April. More about that coming soon!

Sewing
Sooooo much sewing has been done over the break! Thread therapy has been good for the soul. It's a blessing to see something cute, useful, or especially meaningful emerge from a pile of material, elastic, lace, and buttons. Fun, fun, fun!

School (Or Not)
SIX (6) Mondays of regular school left!!!! SIX!!! I can't stand it...if I talk about it too much I may explode from spontaneous combustion!!!

:(
Thursday Casey and Travis are moving their mobile home to their own land. I am at the same time so happy for them and so sad. Their home was Lauren and David's first home and has been behind our house for almost seven years. We were so happy that Casey and Travis could enjoy it here as well. We will miss seeing them walk up across the yard, waving as they come in from work, and being a part of our little community on the hill. We wish them many happy years at their new home place, and promise to always leave the light on if they need to come "home."

Where is home? Home is where the heart can laugh without shyness. Home is where the heart's tears can dry at their own pace. ~ Vernon Baker

Home is the place where when you have to go there, They have to take you in. ~ Robert Frost

Home is the bottom line of life, the anvil upon which attitudes and convictions are hammered out the single most influential force in our earthly existence. No price tag can adequately reflect its value. ~ Charles Swindoll
